Love

I've allways dreamed  'bout true love,
just like in the fairytails I once was told.

The brave hero who slays the dragon, saves
the maiden and finds the treasure filled with gold.

Or like the princess who kisses the frog
and get's a prince - wouldn't that be wonderful, say?

I've long stopped believe in those stories, and I
realised that a prince will never come my way.

However, I havn't given up on love, but never thought
it would come in such ordinary and sneaky shape.

He has no crown nor any sword or gold
and he certainly doesn't wear a cape.

He's just an ordinary man like everyone else
but he makes my heart race a bit.

I don't know why, I don't know how but
a little hope inside me has been lit.

He's so faraway and yet he is so near,
everyday I talk with him on the internet.

Sometimes when I think of him,
I let myself stand in the rain and get wet.

Thinking how nice it would be if he
came with an umbrella to shelter me.

But that will not happen now,
but who knows we just have to wait and see!
